So the end of another jump season has come around again, it seems to have crept up so quickly this year. Choc managed 52 winners in the end which was superb considering the huge injury that set him back last year.

Aintree was very different for me this year. I was not tanned and dressed up in my finest or in 6-inch heels for three days, but instead was in my flats looking after my baby boy, changing nappies and washing bottles.
I am fully aware that I left my loyal readers on a complete cliff edge waiting for the birth at Christmastime. I am so sorry for the long long long long wait and I thank everyone especially Eclipse Magazine for being so patient and understanding whilst waiting for this!
I’m still waiting!!.... I have come to the conclusion after four slow weeks of trying various different methods (new and old) of trying to get the baby out, that none of them actually work and they are all old wives' tales. They have made no difference to when this baby actually decides to make his big entrance!
You may have seen over the last few days that my husband, unbelievably after a short five months' recovery, is back in the saddle and well and truly back on the racecourse. He has shocked and amazed the doctors, surgeon and pyhsio’s by cutting his recovery time down from 12 months to five.
I have not written for nearly a whole month, I apologise for this greatly. I do have a valid excuse though, which does not include dogs eating laptops or fingers dropping off.
I went to visit my parents two weeks ago when my Blog was due in and I was struck down with a horrific sick bug which sent me straight back to bed or to the bathroom with my head down the loo for four days!
I am 32 weeks pregnant now, in my books that is eight months but I still have eight weeks to go! So is pregnancy actually 10 months long or is my maths wrong? Either way I am massive, slightly uncomfortable and none of my clothes fit anymore! (Luckily I’m not going racing anytime soon so I can live in my maternity jeans and tracksuit bottoms for now).
It really felt like winter had arrived this weekend and not just because of the cooler weather. Despite my husband not race riding I have had a full two-day weekend of National Hunt racing at two of my favourite tracks in the country, Cheltenham and Kempton.
We are back from our gorgeous break in Greece, fully relaxed and ready to face the winter ahead and all that it brings for us both. The holiday could not have been more perfect for us, a quiet beautiful sunny resort on the mainland with a tranquil beach, freshwater pools, fantastic snorkelling and lots of yummy restaurants to choose from each night.
There is a small battle over the laptop in our house at the minute as both Choc and I are writing articles, mine the ‘NagsWAG’ article out every fortnight and Choc has a new article every Monday in ‘The Racing Post’ newspaper. This will be his fourth week coming up and the articles seem to be creating a great response from the general public. The articles so far have included information about his injury and the support injured jockeys receive from various organisations, his long road to recovery as well as the options for jockeys after their racing career is over.
This weekend was Alan King's Open Day at Barbury Castle; Choc went to see all the owners and their horses up at the gorgeous racing yard in Swindon. This was the second visit up to the yard this week for my husband as he went to watch the team ride out and school first thing on Thursday morning.
Two weeks on and I’m getting bigger and bigger by the day, I definitely look like I have a baby bump now and not many of my trousers fit any more. I seem to have ballooned this last fortnight!
The weeks seem to be flying by, it’s such a treat having my husband at home so much although I’m sure if he had the choice he would rather be fit and going racing again.
I have been due to write my blog for a long time but one drama after another has kept me from my computer. Finally I have got myself organised to write it all down.
Prior to this Saturday, Choc has not been racing all week! He had five days off after a nasty fall at Uttoxeter where he was kicked very hard in the tummy after a crashing fall.
This weekend has got to have been the most nerve-wracking experience of my life. I had my final exams for my beauty therapy course.
