The Horsemen's Group has announced that they have signed an agreement with Chester Race Company Limited that supports two additional fixtures at the racecourse on 11 June 2011 and 24 September 2011.

The Committee of Ballinrobe Racecourse have announced that they will donate all the admissions fees at the next race meeting, the final day of their race season on Monday 20th September to Concern for its work in Pakistan. 

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond will be a special guest at the William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup at Ayr Racecourse on Saturday 18 September.

Richard Hughes has donated his £1,000 cheque for winning the Racing UK-sponsored Leading Jockey Award at Glorious Goodwood on 27th August, to the Newmarket Youths Football Club.

An emotional Peter Reynolds was genuinely shocked last night when the announcement was made that Ballymacoll Stud was the Connolly's Red Mills/The Irish Field Breeder of the Year winners for 2009/2010. 

The Curragh Racecourse in Ireland is set to stage the first Amateur Riders Derby as part of the Autumn Festival of Racing on Saturday 11th September.
