In fact you’re ahead of the game as London Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2013/14 isn’t until mid February and the new London Collections: Men AW13 began on 7 January. 

Love it or hate it, mulled wine is one traditional drink that seems to tempt us every winter with its warmth and infused flavours of spices, fruits and sugars. So let’s spice up the more casual social gatherings in mulled wine knitwear and cords.

Wearing full bodied dark red from top to toe may be a glass too much for you, but don’t worry, it surprisingly goes with most colours, so just add a splash with your favourite colour.

If you’re a guy who steers away from colour and prefers to wear all black then wine shades may be just the ticket to slowly bring you round to some colour. The wine shades will add richness to your dark look.

Red can be a scary colour to wear but in its wine tones of burgundy, plum, merlot to name a few, it can be quite mellow.

London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 13 starts this September but not for the men. You now have your own fashion week Yay!!! Unfortunately I missed the first one in June but plan to attend the next one in January. However there should be some menswear amongst the women’s design and the first one to report is from Nico Didonna.

This has been one marathon patriotic year and we’re still not past the finishing line. The Olympics are almost over but our patriotic fever will still be going strong long afterwards and ready to back Team GB at the Paralympics.

Out of the three British patriotic colours, white is the least practical to wear but can cut a fine figure when worn in the right place at the right time.

With the UEFA Euro football matches, the upcoming London Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, this is the year to make red, white and blue the colours to wear.
