A Triple or Trifecta
Not to be confused with a Treble, a Triple is more commonly known as a Trifecta in the UK.
A Trifecta is a tote bet, which means you can place the bet at any betting shop, but it is paid out at tote dividends. The dividend for tote is calculated based on how much money has been put in the ‘pot’ by you and other bettors.
Like the Double, a Treble involves placing a bet on three different horses. If the first one wins, the results will be re-invested on your second choice – and if that wins, the results are re-invested again on your third choice…If that third horse also wins then you will have a nice little bundle to go and buy some champagne with!
