After further rainfall this week, the Chase course racecourse remains waterlogged.

With the forecast suggesting the course will not dry out in time for next Wednesday’s fixture, the Clerk Of The Course at Bangor-on-Dee has been forced to abandon the Chases scheduled for 27th January.

In response, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA)’s Racing Department has programmed two additional Hurdle races in an attempt to safeguard this fixture.  The card will now be made up of five Hurdle races and a Standard Open National Hunt Flat race.

Going on the Bangor-on-Dee Hurdles course is currently described as Heavy.

The two new races will close at noon on Saturday, 23rd January. Declarations are to be made in line with the existing races by 10am on Tuesday, 26th January.

Revised times and running order are as follows:

01:40  The Stella Artois ‘Supporting Bangor-On-Dee’ Juvenile Hurdle (Class 4)
02:10  The Stella Cidre Maiden Hurdle Race (Class 5)
02:45  The Yorton Farm Stud Mares’ Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 4); (Challenger Series Qualifier)
03:20 The Equine Lens Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4)
03:55 The Stella Artois Mares’ Handicap Hurdle Race (Class 3) (Challenger Series Qualifier)
04:25 The Stella Artois Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 6)
