EM Design Awards 2020: And the winners are…

Huge thanks to everyone who has voted in the inaugural EM Design Awards!

It has been immensely exciting seeing the votes come in, with the leading parties changing daily – the voting has been extremely close all round.

The EM DESIGN AWARDS 2020 is the first of an annual award scheme set up by EclipseMagazine.co.uk.

During the summer and winter racing seasons, a legion of independent designers and makers create beautiful pieces for racegoers to use and wear at the races.

To celebrate their creativity and quality of work, especially at a time when so many businesses have been affected by the lack of racing due to coronovirus, we wanted to do something to help boost morale – and over 2,000 of our readers have risen to the occasion, determined to support their favourite designers with their votes. WOW!

“We love our readers and we know our readers love their designers, so creating the EM Design Awards gave us the perfect opportunity to ask our readers for their recommendations when it came to raceday outfits,” says Karen Sargeant, Editor of EclipseMagazine.co.uk

“We have been delighted with the response and it has brought some fabulous new and established designers into the spotlight – and hopefully everyone else will now sit up and appreciate them too!

“Congratulations go to all of the winners, but also to all of the designers who were nominated, as this really has been driven by their fans, which in turn has been a result of their own high quality work and exceptional talent.

“We look forward to hearing about more designers for next year’s Awards!”

So, now we are DELIGHTED to announce our Award Winners 2020 – congratulations to you all, and huge thanks again to everyone who voted and took part in this project:

When we asked our readers to nominate designers, we also invited them to tell us why they were putting those designers forward. Many took the opportunity to heap praise on their nominees and because our voters were so passionate about their choices, we have included reader quotes for the runners-up as well.
