After reigning victorious in one of the most closely fought Grand Nationals on record, Neptune Collonges will make his way to the Bolesworth Classic in aid of a Wirral-based charity.

The Great British Show which takes place at Bolesworth Castle nr Chester over the Jubilee weekend (1st–4th June), has confirmed that John Hales’ National winner will take part in an exciting parade on Saturday 2nd June in the main arena, starting at 2pm.

Neptune Collonges, trained by Paul Nicholls, came to victory earlier this year at Liverpool’s Aintree Racecourse, just millimetres ahead of his nearest rival Sunnyhillboy.

Speaking about the parade, Event Co-ordinator Anna Du Pre said: "The Grand National is something distinctly British, and having the winner here on parade is a fabulous addition. The parade will be run in aid of Claire House, the Wirral-based children’s hospice charity that we work with on many projects and it’s great that the occasion will support such a worthwhile cause."

The Bolesworth Classic is a Great British Show running Friday 1st June until Monday 4th June 2012. The family entertainment is varied and includes helicopter flights, food fairs, vintage funfair, dog shows, shopping village and much more alongside a world-class show jumping competition. Further information can be found at www.bolesworthclassic.com.

This year’s official charity is Claire House, who offer vital support to families across the North West. Further information can be found by logging on to www.claire-house.org.uk
