July is music month at racecourses around the country!

 

Monday 1st July

WINDSOR – Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club Live

Ronnie Scott’s are the perfect accompaniment to Monday Night Racing! Start July with a great night of competitive racing and dance the night away with the greatest jazz and funk sounds in town.

 

Thursday 4th July

EPSOM – Summer Nights Rewind – ‘70s

Enjoy the soulful sounds of the ‘70s out on the Hyperion lawn straight after the last race.

 

Friday 5th July

BEVERLEY – ‘70s Racenight Featuring Bus Stop

this theme night featuring a thrilling evening of racing and the legendary Bus Stop, Hull’s iconic ‘70s night. 

 

Saturday 6th July

LEICESTER – Ladies Day featuring Will Young

Enjoy an action packed day of racing followed by live music from Will Young, as well as a performance from Ana Matronic. For the finale there will be a brilliant firework display!

NOTTINGHAM – ’80s Night

Expect big hair and even bigger tunes. The disco after racing will be playing all of your favourite ‘80s classics. Fancy dress is encouraged so if the ‘80s is your thing book your tickets now!

 

Tuesday 9th July

UTTOXETER – Party in the Paddock

Party in the Paddock Raceday is back and is set to be a jam-packed day, with live music after racing!

 

Thursday 11th July

EPSOM – Summer Nights Rewind – ‘80s

After the last race dance the night away to ‘80s classics whilst watching the sun go down.

 

Friday 12th July

FFOS LAS – Elvis Racenight

he UK’s number one Elvis tribute, Suspiciously Elvis, this is a night to don your best jumpsuit and dress up as Elvis – there will be a prize for the best Elvis look-a-like!

 

Monday 15th July
WINDSOR – Cuban Racenight Featuring Los Cabrones

An exotic summer’s evening with competitive racing, Cuban delicacies, delicious cocktails and salsa dancing a-plenty. Los Cabrones, with Rene Alvarez, will create a Latin explosion fusing Salsa, Boogaloo and Reggaeton in a repertoire of classic ‘70s Latin dancefloor fillers plus contemporary hits remixed with the Los Cabrones twist. The band has hit a niche and is already taking London by storm.

EPSOM – Summer Nights Rewind – ‘90s

Your official throwback to the ‘Britpop’ era, with some of the best ‘90s tunes – you won’t be able to help but sing along and reminisce.

HAMILTON PARK – Heineken UK Glasgow Stakes Racenight

Featuring tribute acts Mark Anthony as Prince and David Boakes as Michael Jackson.

NEWMARKET – Newmarket Nights Presents Thriller

Following the success of The Jacksons in 2017, and Magic of Motown in 2018, The Jockey Club Live and Newmarket Racecourses are thrilled to announce the first show for the 2019 Newmarket Nights season: direct from London’s West End – Thriller Live.

PONTEFRACT – Abba Night and Beer Festival / Red Shirt Night

Great racing, a fabulous atmosphere, award winning beers and lagers and one of the UK’s best Abba tribute bands are all on the card for this top night out. The Fabba Girls will be playing the greatest Abba hits in their brilliant live set straight after the last race. 

It’s also a fundraiser for the Injured Jockeys Fund through Jack Berry’s historic ‘Red Shirt Night’. The Red Shirt is purely optional – just bring yourself, your friends and your party spirit!

DONCASTER – Madness Live After Racing

The ska favourites have played previously to jubilant crowds at Town Moor, and they are returning for another fantastic live performance. Your ticket also includes a fun fuelled day of exciting Flat racing.

After an exciting afternoon of racing the legendary Tom Jones will take to the Party in the Paddock stage after racing to perform live. 

 

Monday 22nd July

WINDSOR – The Visit Jamaica Rum & Reggae Racenight Featuring Marley Revival

It’s time to make the racecourse even more colourful with the best selection of Rums and the slickest selection of Reggae sounds. Tickle your taste buds with traditional Jamaican food, and after racing, head over to the Paddock Lawn for live performance from Marley Revival.

SANDOWN PARK – Evening Flat Racing And Madness

A thrilling evening of racing and live music from Madness. Combining the genres of ska, reggae, Motown, rock’n’roll, and classic pop, Madness have become one of the music industry’s best loved British bands.

NEWMARKET NIGHTS Presents Rudimental DJ Set

The band will follow in the footsteps of previous DJ headliners Mark Ronson and Chase & Status in hosting one of the most anticipated nights of the season. To date, the genre-defying, BRIT-Award winning band has sold over 4.3 million singles in the UK.

YORK – Tears for Fears

The iconic Tears for Fears will be headlining the first day of the Music Showcase Weekend after racing as a part of their ‘Rule The World’ 2019 tour. On the racecourse itself, The European Breeders Fund Lyric Stakes will be the £50,000 Listed contest centerpiece of a six race card.

SALISBURY – Evening Racing & The Best of Wham

A popular night when the evening racing is followed by The Best of Wham! A ‘Fantastic’ new show featuring the best of George, Andrew, Pepsi and Shirlie with sensational vocals, choreography, costumes and an awesome live band.

YORK – James Arthur

Born in Middlesbrough, James Arthur, the successful solo artist and X Factor winner is set to play the major racecourse just fifty miles from his home town, when he headlines the second day of the Music Showcase Weekend after racing. On the racecourse itself, The Sky Bet York Stakes will be the £120,000 centerpiece of a seven race card.

 

Sunday 28th July

PONTEFRACT – Tribute Bands Family Day

As well as family entertainment and racing, Tribute Bands Family Day will feature four fantastic tribute acts performing throughout the afternoon. It’s also part of the 12th Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival and the action on the track includes the Listed Pomfret Stakes.

WINDSOR – Las Vegas Racenight featuring JD King

Expect an action-packed night of racing, a fantastic atmosphere with all the Vegas glitz and glamour and the World’s No1. Elvis tribute act performing live after racing.
