Raceday Outfit Inspiration from Paris Haute Couture Week SS19

Take inspiration from Paris Haute Couture Week and go for French chic for a day at the spring/summer races. #RockitforRacing

Armine Ohanyan – Deep Harmony

Inspired by the ocean, showing not only its beauty but also the ecological damage being caused, Armine uses plastic waste as embroideries and illustrates the alteration of the colours of the aquatic flora. Her short dresses will definitely cause a fashionable ripple at the Grand National.

She plays with shapes, light and movement through the use of 3D printing, materials such as silicone and laser cutting.

Her midi length dresses are perfect for Royal Ascot although this laser cut skirt would need an underslip to pass the knee length dress code of the Royal Enclosure.

Alin Le’Kal – Reflective Elements

Captivating crystals sewn through each piece will make the wearer sparkle at the races. The short dress length allows the Grand National lady to still show off her tanned legs.

Maria Aristidou – Symplexis collection

The arched geometric pattern in the collection was inspired from a single vintage arched door found during a walk inside the old city walls of Nicosia, Cyprus.

The simplicity of the door’s façade with the complexity of the engineering behind it also gave inspiration to modern details on classic designs.

This luxury knit dress with gold hand embroidery details worn with a headpiece created by Demosthenis M is a golden vision for Newbury’s Lockinge or Newcastle’s Northumberland Plate.

La Metamorphose – Eden Gardens

In the gardens of La Metamorphose, woman is certainly a flower that opens but she is multifaceted – feminine but strong. With a colour palette of pastel shades and white, this is truly for the summer races of Sandown, and Newmarket’s July Festival.

Patrick Pham – Number 8

Pham blends Asian traditions with couture style leisurewear creating a colourful and fun collection, perfect for most spring/summer racedays.

Fabrics of denim, leather, engraved snake prints, handmade sequinned embroideries mix together to create texture.

Katrine K – Heirloom Renaissance

Based in Monaco, Katrine looks at time honoured luxury and traditions paying homage to principles, family ties and the mother/daughter bond/

Tailored jacquard Kyanite blazer with corset belt and wide asymmetric Kyanite pleated trousers would shimmer radiantly at The Derby Festival or the Ayr Gold Cup.

Cool white, the Venus bodice and Pelatite trousers worn with beaded Lava corset belt is relaxed chic for Glorious Goodwood or the Ebor Festival at York.

Amazonite trench coat and matching asymmetric pleated Cascade trousers with hand embroidered Elizabeth I armour bustier top, will keep the sophisticated summer style alive when the weather turns cooler at the late season races such as the St Leger Festival or the British Champions Day.
