Royal Ascot takes its fashion seriously and in 2011 hosted several fashion shows as part of its hospitality. However, the fashion show was not just restricted to the catwalk. Lady racegoers looked gorgeous and glam while all the gentlemen looked dapper in their morning suits.
Emily Pearce from Three Pipe PR Agency was busy organising the fashion show in the Bessborough Restaurant, but still had time to look glamorous in this gorgeous Ilda Di Vico creation.
Steve Barrett went for a black and white theme with his Versace patterned tie and black Dolce and Gabana shirt with white collar. The morning suit is bespoke and the top hat is 1912 vintage.
Diana Knowles looked scrumptious in a caramel Frances Heeley hat (www.francesheeley.co.uk) and a champagne Alexander McQueen crepe dress. Shoes (not shown) were creamy Christian Louboutin. Her caramel wrap added a touch of high street glamour to her designer attire.
Cornelia De Uphough, PR to the milliner Stephen Jones, was of course wearing a Stephen Jones hat. This one is named ‘The Water is Wide’ from his SS11 collection and is in black leather.

Louise Kay and Chris John make a glamorous couple. Louise’s hat was created by her hair stylist Pierre Pouplin! (www.theprivateroom.co.uk) Her dress is Jaeger. Chris wore Ede and Ravenscroft morning coat and trousers with a double breasted biscuit coloured waistcoat from Hackett. Tie from Swaine Adeney.
Both Natalie Waddelle and Emma Jones wore vintage hats. Natalie chose an Aqua dress and Emma a dress from Ted Baker.
Ambika Maliah was on trend with this printed Emilio Pucci dress and dusky pink Nigel Rayment hat (www.nigelrayment.co.uk).
Bringing a ray of sunshine to a rainy day was Diana Augusta Adoua who wore a yellow Dior dress and Siggi yellow and pink hat from Harrods. Pink shoes are Christian Louboutin.
HRH Prince Tikka of Kaputhala was wearing a semi formal traditional costume.
Simon Martin hired his morning suit from Dapper of Twickenham and doesn’t he look dapper! Karin Kempf bought her glitzy dress from www.fashionworld.co.uk and hat from Monsoon.
Hilary Tindall’s whole ensemble came from the Harrogate-based boutique Snooty Frox including the Presen hat and Sabrina Chic shoes.
Now this is what I call co-ordination! Dominic Robertson’s sunshine yellow Oliver Brown waistcoat matched perfectly with Ellie Martin’s Karen Millen dress. Morning suit from Berty Wooster, top hat from Oliver Brown, Ellie’s jacket from Chanel and hat from Liberty.
Even the cigar girls looked glamorous. Here is Katei Rose in a Vivien of Holloway retro ’50s dress and Vivienne Westwood red high heel ankle wellies. Perfect for the rainy day!
