Royal Ascot 2020: Cool Styles for Racegoers at Home

We may not be able to attend Royal Ascot this year, but this is a perfect opportunity to create our own lockdown enclosure to watch the races. And great news! You can lay down the rules for your own dress code!

Royal Ascot takes place from 16th–20th June this year and features a fill-your-boots 36 races – click here to view the order of running for the five days.

Garden Enclosure

If the weather is fine, transform your outdoor space into the Garden Enclosure. Have a BBQ or a picnic and of course don’t forget the drinks.

Dress code idea: go for a summer party atmosphere.

A summer garden party needs a sunny shirt. Jazz up your outfit with Joe Brown’s Sunshine Stripe shirt in mustard/rust £30.

Keep it smart casual with a pair of their navy chino shorts £35.

Worn here a burnished red leather belt with heavy-duty buckle £30, and a pair Glen cove pumps  in mink suede with orange trim £45.

Balcony Enclosure

Not as much room to party but you can still create a chic atmosphere on the Balcony Enclosure. Bring out nibbles and cool cocktails.

Dress code idea: Relaxed but chic.

In the pink with White Stuff Northcote 100% linen blazer £150. Team with matching Northcote linen tailored shorts  £55.

Keep the look casual but fresh  with Abersoch organic cotton crew neck t- shirt in white, £19.95 And a pair of white  Supergra 2750 trainers £55.

Indoors Enclosure

No outdoor space? Or do you just want to chill on the sofa and watch the races?  Then create your living room into the Indoors Enclosure with plenty of cold beers and food handy.

Dress code idea: comfy but stylish.

Who said the pinstripe was just for the office? Burton shows how to smarten up the tracksuit with their navy pinstripe joggers £28 and matching bomber jacket £32.

Worn here with white leather look trainers £25 or you could just kick off your shoes and really relax.
